Description

An artisanal mezcal created to embody Frida’s personality: elegant and floral, silky on the palate, yet full of character. Crafted with espadín agave from Oaxaca, its profile was developed over nearly two years through proprietary cooking and distillation processes. The result is a refined, vibrant expression — a gentle entry with a strength that stays.

Tasting notes

Appearance: highly polished, bright and clear with emerald highlights; deep, defined refraction denoting strength.

Nose: opens with notes of dawn, damp herbs and fresh vegetal tones; grows into cooked corn cob and crowns with lifting white flowers. Sustained memories of wet earth and limestone, finishing on candy notes reminiscent of Mexican garapiñados.

Palate: open, long and harmonious, with soft, short, high-toned spice that defines its personality. Low alcoholic imprint with pronounced agave; flavors of green bell pepper, freshly cut zucchini, epazote, river stone and cotton candy. A long, persistent romance — lightly smoky, with a silky, elegant finish.

Guardians of the bottle

The Milagrito — Oaxaca’s burning heart — hangs from the bottle’s neck and is removable: wear it as a necklace or bracelet, or keep it as a collectible. Fulang Chang, Frida’s beloved spider monkey, watches over the cap like a coat of arms. And the Crown of Flowers that, turned around, becomes a wounded heart… still full of color.

Why 41%?

Not a whim of alchemy: at 41, Frida painted the “Self-Portrait” commissioned by her friend, Dr. Samuel Fastlicht. Every Fridu bottle keeps that number by design.
